The Australasian Safari is the ultimate off-road adventure, an international endurance race through the Western Australian outback, renowned as the Asia Pacific’s equivalent to the Dakar Rally.

Renowned as one of the toughest and most challenging motorsport events in the world the 26 year old event attracted over 100 Auto, Moto and Quad competitor entries from Australia, Japan, Sweden, Czech Republic, New Zealand, South Africa, China, USA, UAE and Hungary.
In 2011 a new Production Class also allowed standard vehicles to compete in the Australasian Safari, with the necessary racing modifications.
As part of the event, a nations’ cup for moto and quad competitors gave teams of up to four riders the chance to compete for their country, working together to score points along the way. This competition was open to all non-Australian residents.
As an ancillary to the event, a fully guided Adventure Tour allowed off-road motorbike enthusiasts to follow the Safari. Enthusiasts could experience the excitement of competitive off-road allying, without the pressure of competing.
The logistics of Australasian Safari saw more than 8000 meals prepared and 70 formal land approvals secured and an event team including 20 medics, 85 officials assembled, and national and international media hosted
